Surfers Hideaway

This is Surfers Hideaway in Woolacombe. It's a single-storey holiday home on a quiet part of the site, so no stairs to worry about. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double and one with bunks. The bathroom is a wet room with a walk-in shower.

It's a practical place. The living area is all open plan. There's a two-seater sofa that pulls out into a single bed if you need it, a couple of armchairs, and a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The kitchen has the basics: an oven, hob, fridge, and microwave. The furniture is decent, nothing fancy. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right.

You're about a mile and a half from Woolacombe beach, which is the main draw. It's a long, sandy beach, good for surfing and families. The village centre, with shops and pubs, is about the same distance away.

Up to three dogs are allowed. There's no private, enclosed garden though, so you'd need to take them out for a proper run. You have to bring their bed.

If you're driving, Croyde is about ten minutes away. Ilfracombe is maybe twenty minutes. The South West Coast Path runs right through here for walks. For wider planning, the National Trust looks after a lot of the local coastline.

What's included: all bedding and towels, electricity. There's a cot and a highchair available if you need them. Parking is on site.
