Croyde

Croyde is a studio flat on the first floor. It's part of Trimstone Manor, which is a few miles inland from the coast. It sleeps two people, so it's just for a couple.

It’s got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and comfortable, but it's not luxury. It's a base.

You get the use of all the shared things here. There's an indoor heated swimming pool, which is a big plus if the weather's not great. There's also a sauna, a small gym, a games room with a pool table, and a tennis court. The grounds are big. There's a formal garden and some fields. They keep chickens, geese, and even a few peacocks.

The studio itself is open plan. There’s a patio door that opens onto a little balcony overlooking the gardens. You can sit out there. It’s got a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside.

Location wise, you’re about three miles from the nearest shop, which is in Braunton. The nearest beach is about three miles too, at Woolacombe. That’s a very good, long sandy beach. Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay are also close. Croyde is great for surfing if you're into that.

Braunton Burrows is nearby, which is a massive area of sand dunes. It's a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Ilfracombe is a short drive away. It's a proper old seaside town with a harbour and the Tunnels Beaches.

If you want to go for a drive, you can get to Exmoor National Park in under half an hour. The Tarka Trail is good for cycling or walking. Barnstaple has all the big shops and a cinema.

There’s a lounge bar on site. The restaurant does breakfast and cream teas, but it doesn’t do lunch or evening meals. They’ll give you a list of good local places to eat.
