Serenity Valley is in Berrynarbor, which is a small village in a valley about two miles inland from Combe Martin. It's a detached cottage so you're on your own.
It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms upstairs. There's one bathroom. That's the main thing to know. The bathroom's nice, it's got a big freestanding bath and a shower over it. But with eight people sharing, you'll need to take turns.
Downstairs is mostly one big space. The kitchen has a table for breakfast, then there's a dining room with a Rayburn cooker, and a living room with a wood burner and sofa. It all flows together. You're not going to be on top of each other.
The garden is big. There's a raised, enclosed bit which is good if you've got dogs or small children you want to keep in sight. Then there's a larger lawn. There's parking for a couple of cars.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-finished. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, Wifi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
The coast at Combe Martin is about five minutes in the car. It's a long, pebbly beach with rock pools. The sunsets are good from there. You can walk into the village from the cottage, it's up and down some hills. There's a shop and a couple of pubs.
If you want to go further, Ilfracombe is about ten minutes away. That's where the harbour is, with boat trips and the usual fish and chips. The Exmoor National Park starts not far from here. Lynton and Lynmouth are about half an hour's drive, up over the moor. The cliff railway there is worth seeing.
For walking, the South West Coast Path is on the doorstep. The Tarka Trail for cycling is easy to get to from Barnstaple, which is about twenty minutes away.
