Strawberry Cottage
Strawberry Cottage is a detached cottage in Combe Martin. It's up a hill, so you get good views over the fields from the back garden. It was all redone in 2021, so it's clean and fresh.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one shower room downstairs. The bedroom has some exposed stone and a beam. The stairs are a typical cottage style, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner.
There's a woodburning stove in the main room. Underfloor heating in the shower room. The garden is private and gets the sun in the evening. It's got a patio and some grass.
Combe Martin beach is about two miles down the hill. It's a long, stony beach. Good for a walk. The proper sand surfing beaches, like Woolacombe and Croyde, are about a twenty minute drive.
The cottage is right on the edge of Exmoor. You can walk onto the moor from here. The South West Coast Path runs through the village too. For a different walk, the Tarka Trail is a flat path on an old railway line, about fifteen minutes' drive away in Braunton.
Ilfracombe is ten minutes by car. They've got a harbour, the Verity statue, and you can get boat trips from there to Lundy Island. Lynton and Lynmouth are further along the coast, maybe half an hour. The cliff railway there is interesting.
You can bring one dog. There's parking for one car right outside. All bedding and towels are included.
