This is Harbour Hideaway. It's an old fisherman's cottage, parts of it from around 1750. It's in a quiet residential street near the harbour in Ilfracombe.
The place sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. It used to be two cottages, so there are two separate staircases, one at each end of the house. The stairs are typical for an old place.
It's got a wood burner and some exposed stonework, so it's cosy. Outside, there's a private hot tub with a cover on it. The garden is enclosed.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour and the town centre. There are pubs, shops, and restaurants very close by, including some quite fancy ones. The Tunnels Beaches are just around the corner. The big Verity statue by Damien Hirst is down on the harbour too.
For days out, the good surfing beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde are about a twenty-minute drive. Exmoor and the South West Coast Path are right there for walking. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is about ten minutes away by car. Barnstaple is roughly twenty minutes drive if you need bigger shops or the theatre.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
