The Penthouse is a flat right at the top of a new building. It was finished in 2021. It's detached, so no one's above you, and it's very quiet.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has an en-suite. The main bathroom has a separate shower. There's underfloor heating throughout, which works well. The stairs inside the flat are quite steep, like a ship's ladder. It's fine for most, but something to know.
The best thing is the view. You look straight out over Woolacombe beach and the sea towards Morte Point and Baggy Point. From the living area, big bifold doors open right onto a terrace balcony. You can sit out there with a drink. There's a second balcony off a bedroom, too.
Everything inside is new and works. The kitchen has good appliances, like a double fridge and a Nespresso machine. There's a Smart TV with Netflix included. Each bedroom has a TV as well.
You're about a ten-minute walk from the centre of Woolacombe. That's where the shops, cafes, and a small cinema are. The beach is even closer, maybe five minutes. It's a very good beach. You can walk for miles along the sand or on the coast path right from the door.
You get two private parking spaces. There's also a locked storage cage downstairs for wetsuits, surfboards, or buckets and spades.
We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
For days out, you have a lot within half an hour. Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay are along the coast for more surfing. The Tarka Trail for cycling is easy to get to. Exmoor National Park is about a 25-minute drive. If you want a family attraction, places like Exmoor Zoo or the Milky Way are within that range.
