Pump Cottage
Pump Cottage is a bungalow on a large estate just outside Woolacombe, in North Devon. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double and one twin. There's one shower room. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about.
It's a detached place. You've got your own small patio out the back. On the estate itself, there are shared grounds you can walk in, and an outdoor heated swimming pool. There's also a clubhouse with a pool table and a coffee machine, but you have to pay to use those.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The lounge has a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher.
It's about two and a half miles to Woolacombe beach. That's the main draw, three miles of sand, good for surfing and families. The village has shops, cafes, and a small cinema in a hotel.
Other good beaches nearby are Saunton Sands and Croyde, both within about a 15 minute drive. Exmoor National Park is about half an hour away. If you head east along the coast, Lynton and Lynmouth are worth a visit, maybe 40 minutes by car.
On the facilities side: bedding and towels are included, there's parking right outside, and WiFi. You can bring up to two dogs.
