The Shippon
The Shippon is in Berrynarbor, Devon. It's about three miles to the beach. It's a barn conversion. There are a couple of other cottages close by, but you've got your own driveway and garden.
There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. That's the main thing. It sleeps eight comfortably. The whole place has a 5 Star rating.
The stairs are pretty steep, which is typical for these old barns.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler nights. The kitchen is big, with an island and an induction hob. It's a good space for people to gather while someone's cooking.
Outside, there's a raised garden with a table. It looks out over the fields, right down to the coast. On a clear day, you can see Wales across the water.
We live on site, so if you need anything or have a problem, we're here.
Ilfracombe Harbour is about four miles away. You can get fish and chips there, walk around, and they run boat trips from the harbour.
For beaches, Woolacombe and Croyde are about a twenty minute drive. They're good for surfing. The South West Coast Path runs right along there.
Further afield, you've got Exmoor National Park and the Tarka Trail for cycling, both within a 30 minute drive.
There's a pub that does food, The Sawmills, about ten minutes by car.
Facilities wise: the property has a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars on the drive.
You can bring up to two dogs.
