Ashley Cottage
Ashley Cottage is in Combe Martin, on the high street. It's a semi-detached stone cottage. You're a few minutes' walk from the sea front. The beach is about 500 yards away.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. You can bring one dog. There's parking on site.
The stairs inside are quite steep, just so you know. It's that sort of cottage.
Combe Martin has a very long high street with shops, a couple of pubs, and places to eat all within walking distance. The pub is about 300 yards away. For a bigger shop or more choice, Ilfracombe is close by. It's got a harbour and tunnel beaches.
The local beach is good for rock pools. For surfing, the better beaches are at Croyde and Woolacombe, which are about a 20-minute drive. You can join the South West Coast Path from the village if you want a long walk.
Exmoor isn't far if you fancy a drive inland. The views up there are great on a clear day. There's also Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park just outside the village, which kids tend to like.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding is included.
