Mill Meadow Cottage
Mill Meadow Cottage is in East Down, near Barnstaple. It's a detached barn conversion. It's on its own but next to a small stable yard. There's a brook running past it and a decent sized pond.
It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's tidy and well looked after, but it's compact. It's a barn, so the ceilings are low in the main room. Fine if you're average height.
The decked area is private. It gets the sun in the afternoon. You can sit out there and listen to the stream.
The nearest pub is about a mile away. There's a small shop in Combe Martin, which is a fifteen minute drive. The North Devon coast is about a twenty minute drive. The surfing beaches at Croyde and Woolacombe are good. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast path and headlands around there.
For walking, you've got the coast path or the Tarka Trail inland for cycling. Lynton and Lynmouth are worth a trip, about half an hour away. Ilfracombe is similar. There are a few golf courses within a half hour drive.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, and you can park right outside. There's Wi-Fi. There's a BBQ. Sorry, no pets.
