The Threshing Barn
The Threshing Barn is in Patchole, a small hamlet between Barnstaple and Braunton. It's a converted barn, detached, so it's on its own. You've got the whole thing to yourselves. It looks out over our farmyard, where we keep the sheep and horses. It’s quite quiet here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both are ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The kitchen is open plan with the living area and there's a big wood burner. There's underfloor heating downstairs too. The upstairs has sloping ceilings in places. I've put a washing machine and a dishwasher in.
You have an enclosed patio area at the back, with a barbecue. You can park right outside.
We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. Bedding and towels are provided. There's Wi-Fi.
The best surf beaches are at Croyde and Woolacombe, about a fifteen minute drive away. Saunton Sands is big and good for long walks. Barnstaple is about ten minutes away for supermarkets and shops.
For walks, you're close to the Tarka Trail. It's good for cycling. Local fishing is available on the River Caen. The North Devon Coastal Path is easily reached.
