Corner Cottage

Corner Cottage is right in Combe Martin, just up from the main street. It's a terrace cottage, end of the row. You can walk down the hill to the beach in about 15 minutes.

It sleeps five, with two bedrooms and the one bathroom upstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well looked after and has what you need. Everything works.

The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. You get parking for one car on the lane outside.

Combe Martin beach is shingle and sand. The sunsets from there are very good. The high street has a few shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and an chippy. The Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is a five minute walk up the road. It's straightforward for kids.

Ilfracombe is about three miles away. The harbour is worth a look, and Damien Hirst's Verity statue is on the pier. From there you can get boat trips out to sea or over to Lundy Island.

You're on the edge of Exmoor National Park. It's about a ten minute drive to get up onto the moor proper. Lynton and Lynmouth are a 25 minute drive along the coast. The cliff railway there is interesting.

For walking, the South West Coast Path goes right past. You can pick it up from the beach. The Tarka Trail is inland, starting in Barnstaple, which is about a 20 minute drive.

In terms of stuff here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and bedding and towels are included. It says two pets are allowed. There's a TV with some satellite channels.
