Anchor Cottage is in Instow. It's a terraced cottage, so you'll have neighbours on one side.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The stairs are narrow and steep, so watch your step.
You're about a hundred yards from the beach and the local pub. There's a good deli just up the road for basics. In the summer, I've got a parking permit for the cricket club car park, which is a five-minute walk away. That saves you trying to park on the street.
The living room has a wood burner. Out the back is a small, enclosed courtyard. There's a rear access gate which is useful for bikes or surfboards, or sandy dogs.
The beach is sandy and good for walking. The sunsets over the water are very nice.
For days out, Bideford is close by. You can get the boat to Lundy Island from there. Westward Ho! beach is about three miles away for surfing. Exmoor is to the east, and the North Devon and Cornish coasts are to the west. The Tarka Trail is right there if you want to walk or cycle.
It says two pets are welcome. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a cot if you need it.
