Kittiwakes Cottage Appledore Devon
Kittiwakes Cottage is on Tarragon Steps in Appledore. It's a small two-up two-down terrace cottage in the old part of the village. You're about ten paces from the water. The front door opens straight onto the pavement.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs which you get to from the kitchen. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep. There's a small back yard.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well looked after. It has a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
The village is all around you. There are pubs, cafes, and shops on the same lane. You don't need to drive. The quay is at the bottom of the steps, with the ferry across to Instow. Instow has a sandy beach and a good deli.
For a bigger beach, Westward Ho! is about two miles away. Good for surfing. Further on, Saunton Sands, Croyde, and Woolacombe are within a half hour drive.
Bideford is two miles inland for supermarkets and a weekly market. The Tarka Trail for walking and cycling is close by. For walks on the coast, the North Devon Coastal Path starts in the village.
