Sand Dunes
Sand Dunes is in Westward Ho!. It's a first floor flat in a modern building right on the front. The view is the main thing. You look straight out to sea, over the beach. The sunsets from here can be really something.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and has things like a dishwasher and good WiFi. The layout is upside down. The bedrooms are on the entrance floor, then you go up 23 steps inside the flat to the main living area and kitchen. That's where the balcony and the big windows are. There's a lift from the car park to the front door, which is good.
You're a few minutes' walk from the beach at Westward Ho!. It's flat all the way. The beach is long and sandy. The South West Coastal Path goes right past. People surf and fish here. The Tarka Trail is close by for cycling or walking on the old railway line.
If you drive, you can get to Bideford or Barnstaple in under half an hour. They have proper shops and markets. For a day trip, you can get the boat from Bideford or Ilfracombe out to Lundy Island. It's a nature reserve and feels a world away.
What's here: allocated parking, the lift, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
