Sand Dunes is a flat in Westward Ho!. It's on the first floor of a building called Nassau Court, right on the seafront. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the beach and the sea. The sunsets from the living room are really good.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's a duplex, so the bedrooms are on the entrance level and you go upstairs to the living area. There's a lift to get to the apartment door, but then 23 stairs up to the living room. The space is open plan, kitchen and sitting area together, with big windows and a balcony that runs along the front.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and has things like a dishwasher and a washing machine. It's wheelchair accessible to the entrance, but not inside due to the stairs. You can bring one dog.
The beach is just across the road. It's a flat, minute's walk. Westward Ho! itself has the usual seaside stuff: shops, places to eat, a pub. The main beach is good for swimming and surfing. The South West Coast Path goes right through here if you're walking. The Tarka Trail for cycling is close by too.
If you drive, you're about twenty minutes from Bideford and Barnstaple for bigger shops. Clovelly is maybe half an hour away. For a longer day out, you can get the boat to Lundy Island from Bideford. It's a nature reserve.
For planning, the North Devon National Landscape site has walking information. The Tarka Country website covers the trail network. Lundy Island details are on the Landmark Trust page.
