Gardener's Cottage

This is Gardener's Cottage. It's on our farm just outside Monkleigh, a quiet village inland from Bideford. It's the smaller of two cottages we've got here, sleeps two.

It's one bedroom upstairs, one bathroom, and an open plan living area downstairs. It's a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, with underfloor heating and a wood burner. The bedroom has a kingsize bed with oak floors.

You get your own little courtyard garden out the front. It's a sun trap in the morning, good for a coffee. The cottage is attached to Orchard Cottage next door, which sleeps four. You can book them together if you're a bigger group.

The farm is about 200 acres. You're welcome to walk around the fields. There's a pub about a mile away in the village that does food.

You're about four miles from the north Devon coast. Westward Ho! beach is about six miles. It's a long sandy beach, good for surfing. The coast path is there too. Bideford is three miles for shops and things. You can get the boat to Lundy Island from there sometimes.

For a day out, the Tarka Trail is good for cycling or walking. RHS Rosemoor gardens are about a 20 minute drive. Clovelly village is maybe 15 minutes by car, but it's steep and you pay to go in.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. We allow up to two dogs.
