Gardener's Cottage
This is Gardener's Cottage. It's on our farm in Monkleigh, just outside Bideford. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two, and you can bring up to two dogs.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner for cooler nights. The bedroom is upstairs and has a kingsize bed. The bathroom has a shower.
Outside is a small, enclosed courtyard garden. It's a sunny spot for a coffee. You're welcome to walk around the farm's 200 acres. It's a working dairy farm, so you'll see the cows.
The village pub is about a mile away. They do food. The nearest shop is in Bideford, which is three miles. Bideford has supermarkets, some restaurants, and a market.
The coast is about a fifteen minute drive. Westward Ho! has that long sandy beach. For something quieter, Bucks Mills or Peppercombe are good. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here. The South West Coast Path runs along it if you're walking.
If you like gardens, RHS Rosemoor is about a twenty-five minute drive. The Tarka Trail for cycling is nearby in Bideford. For a day trip, you can get the boat to Lundy Island from Bideford or Ilfracombe.
Inside, there's a washing machine, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
