The Stables is in Tythecott, which is about eight miles inland from the North Devon coast. It's a converted barn, semi-detached. The owner lives next door at the end of the lane.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The main room is a good size, with the kitchen at one end.
The garden is private and enclosed. It gets the sun in the morning, which is nice for a coffee.
The local shop is in High Bickington, about five miles away. The nearest pub is two miles. For a proper beach day, Westward Ho! is ten miles. It's a long sandy beach, good for surfing. Bucks Mills is about eight miles and is more rugged.
Bideford is eight miles. You can get boat trips to Lundy Island from there. Clovelly is a famous fishing village, about a twenty minute drive. It's all cobbled streets, so wear sensible shoes.
For walking, you can join the South West Coast Path. The Tarka Trail is good for cycling. Great Torrington is seven miles and has shops and a theatre.
In terms of things to do, RHS Garden Rosemoor is about a fifteen minute drive. For a wet day, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way adventure parks are both within half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a TV, and a BBQ. We can provide a cot and highchair. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the bathroom is upstairs. No pets, sorry.
