The Old Coach House is in Cranford, Devon. It's a converted barn, detached from the main house. I live nearby if you need anything.
It's an upside-down layout, so the living space is upstairs and the two bedrooms are on the ground floor. It sleeps five. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's in good order. The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy if you've got dogs. There's also a two-acre field just across the lane you can use.
Inside, it's open plan upstairs. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. It has a TV, wifi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there.
You can take up to three dogs. The field and the fact it's enclosed makes it practical.
Cranford is quiet. The nearest shop is about a mile away in Woolsery. The village inn there does food, and there's a fish and chip shop too.
The coast is about ten minutes by car. Bucks Mills beach is dog-friendly, sand and shingle. The South West Coast Path runs past it. You can walk from there to Clovelly, or west towards Westward Ho! if you want a longer walk.
Bideford is a short drive for more shops and restaurants. From there you can get boat trips to Lundy Island. The Tarka Trail is good for cycling. For gardens, RHS Rosemoor is well worth a visit. Hartland Quay and the whole Hartland Peninsula are dramatic.
If you need days out for kids, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way are within about half an hour.
