Lynches

This is Lynches, it’s in Parkham. It’s a detached house, so it's on its own. Sleeps eight, has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable, but it's not a show home. The original features are there, like the inglenook fireplaces. They're solid.

The village is quiet. The local pub is about 150 yards away, it’s thatched and does food. That’s handy.

The nearest big shop is three miles off in Bideford. Bideford has restaurants and a market, and you can get the boat to Lundy Island from there. The beach at Westward Ho! is about seven miles. It’s a long, sandy beach, good for surf.

If you want other coasts, Clovelly is famous and not too far. Bucks Mills and Peppercombe are smaller and quieter.

For gardens, RHS Rosemoor is a big one, and Docton Mill is local. If you’ve got kids, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are both about a half hour's drive away.

The Tarka Trail is close by if you want to cycle without being on roads. There’s fishing within five miles, and horse riding locally.

Facilities wise: it’s got a woodburner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Parking is on site. No pets.
