George's Cottage
This is George's Cottage in Buck's Mills. It's a thatched cottage, detached. It's a four star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. You can bring two dogs.
The cottage is in the hamlet, right on the edge of the woods. It's very quiet. The sea and the little beach are about a five minute walk down the lane. It's a sand and shingle beach, not huge, but it's nice and you often have it to yourself. The path to the left out of the lane joins the South West Coast Path. You can walk to Clovelly one way or towards Westward Ho! the other.
You've got a garden that's enclosed, which is handy with dogs. Inside, there's a woodburner for cooler evenings, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for one car right by the cottage.
For shops and a pub, you need to drive. The nearest proper shop is in Bucks Cross, about a mile away. The nearest pub is about two and a half miles.
You're well-placed for getting out. Bideford is about twenty minutes' drive for supermarkets. Clovelly is ten minutes one way, Appledore is twenty the other. The Tarka Trail is close by for cycling or walking. If you want to surf, Westward Ho! is about twenty-five minutes away.
