George's Cottage
George's Cottage is in Buck's Mills. It's a detached, thatched cottage. Just you and the garden, and the birds.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's a 4 Star, which means it's well looked after and has everything you need. The stairs are steep. They're the original cottage stairs, so watch your head.
The thatch means it stays warm in winter and cool in summer. There's a woodburner for the colder months. You can park on the gravel next to the cottage.
It's about a five minute walk down the lane to the sea. There's a small beach there, mostly stones. The South West Coast Path goes right past it. You can walk to Clovelly one way or Peppercombe the other. Westward Ho! is a longer walk if you're feeling energetic.
For shops, Bideford is about six miles. There's a small shop in Bucks Cross, about a mile away. The nearest pub is two and a half miles. You'll want a car.
Things like the Tarka Trail for cycling are easy to get to. The big beach at Westward Ho! is good for surfing, about a fifteen minute drive. If you're into gardens, National Trust Devon has a few within half an hour, like Rosemoor.
It has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
