Lamastar, or 'the lodge' like we call it, is up in Northmoor, on Hartland Forest Holiday Park. It’s a detached lodge, not joined to anything. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, a double and a twin. There's one bathroom plus a separate loo.
It’s got a 3 Star rating, so it’s clean and comfortable, nothing too fancy. The living room is a good size with patio doors out to the decking. The kitchen has what you’ll need. There’s a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring up to two dogs. We’ve left a dog crate there, and we can get a second one if you need it.
The park itself is over a hundred acres, so the lodges are well spaced out. It’s quiet. There’s a fishing lake on site if you’ve got a rod license.
You’re about three miles from Woolfardisworthy. There’s a pub there and a fish and chip shop. Hartland village is six miles away for more shops.
The coast is a short drive. Westward Ho! is under six miles. The bigger beaches like Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands are all within about half an hour by car. The South West Coast Path runs right through here if you like walking.
For days out, Clovelly is nearby. The Milky Way and The Big Sheep are both family parks within a 20-30 minute drive. Bideford’s not far if you want to get on the Tarka Trail for a bike ride. Exmoor National Park is about a 40 minute drive inland.
There’s parking right outside the lodge.
