Foxgloves Bungalow is in Darracott, near Welcombe. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. Good if stairs are a problem. You get one allocated parking space.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twins. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. Everything works. You can bring one dog.
The garden is shared with the other bungalows here, but it's open plan so it feels spacious. There's patio furniture and the view over the fields is nice.
Inside, it's open plan living, kitchen and dining. It has a TV, wifi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine with a tumble dryer. Bedding and towels are included.
The thatched pub in Welcombe village is about a five minute walk. They do food and have a garden. The coast path and Welcombe Mouth beach are just over a mile away. It's a good walk down through the valley, past a waterfall, to get there.
For a bigger beach, Sandymouth Bay is a short drive away and it's dog friendly all year. Bude is about twelve miles. That's where you'll find supermarkets, a few more shops, and the Tarka Trail starts from nearby if you like cycling.
If you want a day out, Hartland Quay and the lighthouse at Hartland Point are dramatic. Clovelly village is worth a visit. Further along the coast, places like Westward Ho!, Woolacombe and Croyde are within about an hour's drive. Exmoor National Park is to the east.
A couple of useful links if you're planning: North Devon National Landscape for the local area and National Trust Devon for places like Hartland.
