The Old Mill House is in Welcombe, right on the Devon and Cornwall border. It's a barn conversion on our farm. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You get the whole downstairs to yourselves, and the upstairs living room. The views from there are good, out over the fields to the sea. The stairs are a typical barn conversion staircase, so they turn and are a bit steep.
Welcombe Mouth beach is about a mile away. It's a mix of sand and rock pools, not huge, but it's quiet. The coastal path runs right past it. There's a thatched pub in the village, also about a mile. They do food.
At the front of our property, there's a shared half-acre play area with a lawn, swings, and a slide. It's there if you need it.
For shops, you'll need to drive. Bude is about eight miles. They've got supermarkets, a good beach for surfing, and an indoor pool. Clovelly is a short drive the other way, it's all cobbled streets down to the harbour. The historic port town of Bideford is a bit further, you can get boat trips to Lundy Island from there.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding is included. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside.
