The Old Roundhouse
The Old Roundhouse is in Hartland, on the edge of our farm. It's a converted barn, detached. You won't see another house from it. The garden is big and fully enclosed.
It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy with a big group. There's also a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable.
The rooms are spacious. The original stone walls and slate floors are still there, with underfloor heating underneath so it's not cold. We leave some thoughtful bits for you when you arrive, like a drink and some food to get you started.
You can walk to Hartland village in about ten minutes, across our fields. There are shops and a few pubs there. Spekes Mill beach is a bit over a mile's walk. It's sandy and good for surfing.
The coast around here is dramatic. It's a World Heritage site. National Trust Hartland looks after a lot of it. Hartland Abbey is nearby. Clovelly is about a twenty-minute drive. Bude and Bideford are both within half an hour if you need bigger shops or more activities.
For facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, a games room, and parking right outside. It's fine for families, we provide a cot and highchair. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
