Lodge 18 Hartland Forest

Lodge 18 is on the Hartland Forest Park. It's a detached wooden lodge. It's very quiet out here, just trees and birds.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and they each have their own bathroom, which is handy. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has what you need. The main room is open plan, kitchen and living area together. There's a decent deck that goes around two sides. You can sit out there and not see another soul.

You're right on the edge of the forest. The footpaths start almost from the door. You can walk through the woods and down to the coast. The coast path is spectacular but very steep in parts. It's proper rugged.

You'll need a car. The nearest shop is about six miles away in Hartland. There's a pub and restaurant about two and a half miles away. For a big supermarket, you'd go to Bideford.

The famous surfing beaches are west. Westward Ho! is about a 20 minute drive. Bude is maybe 25 minutes. They get busy in summer. There are quieter coves around Hartland itself, like Speke's Mill, but the access is steep.

For a day out, The Big Sheep is fun if you have kids. The Eden Project is about a 40 minute drive. For gardens, RHS Rosemoor is lovely and about half an hour away.

It's got a dishwasher, a TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets allowed.
