Cowslip is at Heath Farm, on the edge of Bradworthy. It's a farm cottage, sleeps ten. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms upstairs, so it's good for a big group or a couple of families.
The star rating means it's been checked for quality, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not a show home, it's a solid, old farmhouse. The ceilings are a bit low in places, that's just how it is.
You've got your own enclosed garden. There's a lawn, a patio, and a BBQ. The garden looks out over our fields. We've got about 40 acres here, with some woodland and three fishing lakes. You can walk around, and you're welcome to fish in the lakes if you bring your own gear.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a wood burner. We've got a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. There's parking right outside.
Bradworthy village is two miles away. It's got a shop, a post office, and a pub that's been there since the 1300s. For a bigger shop, Bude is about ten miles. That's where the main beaches are too, like Widemouth Bay for surfing.
If you like walking, a public footpath goes right from the farm. The Tarka Trail is about eight miles away for cycling. The coast at Clovelly or Hartland Quay is a 20 minute drive, very dramatic. For a day out, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way are nearby. You can get to Dartmoor or the Eden Project in under an hour.
