Hawthorne is a bungalow on a site just outside Northmoor, in Devon. It’s detached and all on one level, so no stairs to worry about. You’ve got your own enclosed decking area that goes around two sides, with a table and chairs out there.
It sleeps six, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. So if you’ve got a bigger group, everyone isn’t queuing for one shower. It’s got a 3 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and clean without being high-end.
The site itself is quiet. There’s a lake just a short walk away where you can fish if you’ve brought your gear. It’s peaceful, mostly fields.
You’re about two and a half miles from the nearest shop and a pub. The pub does food. For a proper day out, the coast isn’t far. The Hartland Peninsula is rugged and really worth seeing. Hartland Quay and Clovelly are classic spots around there.
For beaches, Woolacombe and Sandy Bay are within a half hour drive. If you need to keep kids entertained, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are also about half an hour away.
The place has a dishwasher, a TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot if you need one. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
If you’re looking to book for more people, there’s another lodge next door that can be rented together.
