Swallows Retreat

Swallows Retreat is a converted barn on our farm in Tosberry. It's detached and looks out over some of our fields. We've got 260 acres here with sheep and cattle.

The place sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have their own bathroom which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating which means it's well finished and comfortable. The kitchen has granite worktops, a dishwasher, and a washing machine.

The best thing is the location for walking. You can leave the car here and go straight out on footpaths. You're in the North Devon National Landscape and it's about three miles to the South West Coast Path. The views over towards Welcombe Mouth are good.

Hartland village is three miles away for shops and a couple of pubs. The nearest pub serving food is about a mile and a half. For a bigger town, Bude is about thirteen miles. They've got surfing, an indoor pool, and more restaurants. Bideford is sixteen miles and you can get the boat to Lundy Island from there.

Local places to visit include Hartland Quay and Hartland Abbey. Clovelly is a famous fishing village nearby. For rainy days or if you have children, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are within a thirty minute drive.

Outside there's a garden patio area with a barbecue and parking right by the cottage. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
