Atlantic House

Atlantic House is the grey barn conversion on our farm at Blegberry, near Titchberry. It's on the Hartland peninsula. The main thing about it is the view. It looks straight out over the fields to the sea, no other houses in the way. You get some spectacular sunsets from there.

It sleeps twelve, five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well done up and has things like the hot tub on the deck. It's spacious, with a big open plan room downstairs so everyone can be together. It's got beams and stone walls from the original barn.

The farm track leads down to Berry Beach. It's about a fifteen minute walk. It's a shingle and sand beach, good for rock pools. You can walk the coast path from there. Hartland Quay is about forty minutes on foot, or a few minutes in the car. They've got a pub and a museum there.

On the farm, there's a play barn with a pool table, table tennis and a skittle alley. There's also a field for games. We have three donkeys, Margot, Mavis and Elvis, who like visitors.

The local shop and pubs are in Hartland village, about three miles away. For a bigger shop, Bideford is about half an hour's drive. You can get the ferry to Lundy Island from there.

The coast around here is all part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's good walking country. The South West Coast Path runs right past. For a day out, Clovelly is about twenty minutes by car. Westward Ho! and Bude, for surfing beaches, are about forty minutes.

Practical stuff: it's pet friendly for up to two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking for several cars. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there's a washing machine. Because it's a working farm, you'll see tractors and sometimes livestock moving around.
