Bramble

This is Bramble. It's one of three cottages here on our farm in Hartland. The place sleeps two. One bedroom, but it has two bathrooms, which is unusual. Both have showers. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well finished.

You're on a working farm. We've got horses, donkeys, sheep, and chickens. The view from the cottage looks out over the fields towards the coast. On a clear day you can see Lundy Island.

The cottage is about three miles from the coast. There are footpaths from about a mile away that get you onto the English Heritage coastline. It's a proper walking area. The beach at Hartland Quay is dramatic, more rock than sand. For sandy beaches you'd drive to Bude or Westward Ho!

The village of Hartland is about a mile away. It's got a couple of shops, a post office, a chip shop, and three pubs that all do food and welcome dogs. We've got two enclosed fields on the farm where you can let your dog off the lead safely. There's an outdoor tap for washing sandy dogs.

Clovelly is a short drive away. It's a steep, cobbled fishing village owned by the National Trust. Bucks Mills is similar but quieter. For a day out, you can get a boat or helicopter over to Lundy Island from Bideford.

On the facilities: there's parking right outside. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The garden is enclosed. We include all bedding and towels. WiFi is here but it's a rural connection. Two well-behaved pets are welcome.
