Bramble is one of three cottages here on the farm in Hartland. It's just for two people, one bedroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well done up and comfortable. There are two bathrooms, which is handy.
You’re on a working farm. We’ve got horses, donkeys, sheep and chickens around. The cottage looks out over fields towards the coast, and on a clear day you can see Lundy Island.
It’s quiet here. The village of Hartland is about a mile away. It has a couple of shops, a post office, a café and three pubs that do food. They’re all dog-friendly.
You’re about three miles from the coast. There’s a maze of footpaths starting about a mile from the cottage that take you down to the English Heritage coastline. The beach at Hartland Quay is dramatic, with big cliffs. For sandy beaches, you’d drive to places like Westward Ho! or Bude.
For walks, the South West Coast Path is right there. You can walk to Clovelly or Bucks Mills if you’re keen. There’s also the Tarka Trail for cycling. If you’re interested in the local history, Hartland Abbey and the lighthouse at Hartland Point are close by.
Because it’s a farm, we’ve made it easy for dogs. You can have up to two. There’s an outdoor tap for washing sandy paws, and a couple of enclosed fields where they can run off-lead safely.
Inside, it’s got what you’d expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need one. Parking is right outside.
