Hawthorn is on our farm, about three miles from the coast near Hartland. It's one of three cottages here, so you might see the neighbours. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It's a 5 Star property, so it's well finished and comfortable. Everything should work properly. You have your own garden, which is enclosed. The views are over our fields towards the sea. On a clear day you can see Lundy Island.
The farm has horses, donkeys, sheep, and chickens. There's a field you can use to let your dogs off the lead if you bring them, and an outside tap for washing sandy paws.
Hartland village is about a mile away. It's got a couple of shops, a post office, a chip shop, and three pubs that all do food. They're all used to dogs.
The coast is the main thing. You can walk to it from here in about an hour using the footpaths. Hartland Quay and Hartland Point are dramatic. The beaches at Bude and Westward Ho! are about a 20-30 minute drive for surfing or long sands.
Clovelly is a 15 minute drive. It's a steep, historic fishing village owned by the National Trust. Bucks Mills is similar and closer. For a day out, you can get a boat or helicopter to Lundy Island from Bideford, which is about 40 minutes away.
There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them.
