Smugglers Retreat is at Blegberry Farm in Titchberry. It's a barn conversion, so it's got the beams and stone walls you'd expect. It's detached. You get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and has everything you need. You can bring one dog.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out to sea. There's nothing in the way. The living area and the patio face the coast, so you're always looking at it. The patio gets the sun. There's a hot tub out there.
The farm is old, 17th century. The coastal path runs right across the land. It's part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The access to the coast is direct from the farm. Berry Beach is a short walk down the lane.
There are three donkeys on the farm called Margot, Mavis and Elvis. They're friendly. Kids like them. There's a big field here for kids to run around in. There's also a games room in the cottage.
For shops and a pub, you need to go to Hartland village. That's about three miles. They have what you need. Bideford is about fifteen miles for bigger shops and the market.
If you want a bigger beach, Westward Ho! and Bude are a drive away. They're good for surfing. Clovelly is worth a visit, it's all cobbles down to the harbour. There are local attractions like The Big Sheep.
You're close to a lot of National Trust land and properties here. The RHS Garden Rosemoor isn't too far either.
Facilities: it's got parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
