Smugglers Retreat is in Titchberry, near Hartland. It's a detached barn conversion on our farm. The main thing is the view. You look straight out to sea from the living room and the patio.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well kitted out. It's got beams and stone walls. The floors are a bit uneven in parts, which is normal for a barn.
You can walk to Berry Beach from here. It's a steep path down the lane, but it's quiet. The farm track leads straight onto the coastal path. The coastline is managed by English Heritage and it's all an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
On the farm, there's a pets corner for the children and a big field they can run around in. The hot tub is on the patio, facing the sea.
Hartland village is about three miles away. It's got shops and a couple of pubs. For a bigger town, Bideford is fifteen miles. It has a market and the ferry to Lundy Island goes from there.
If you want surfing, Westward Ho! and Bude are within a half hour drive. Clovelly is close too, which is that steep cobbled village you see in pictures. For a day out, National Trust properties like Hartland Quay are nearby, and the RHS garden at Rosemoor is about half an hour away.
Facilities wise: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
