The Shed

The Shed is in Northmoor, Devon. It's a lodge on Hartland Forest Holiday Park. The park is big and the lodges are well spaced out. It's detached, so it's quiet. You get parking right next to it.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. One king with an ensuite shower room, two twins. There's a family bathroom too, so two bathrooms in total. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

Inside is one open-plan room for the kitchen, living, and dining areas. It's clearly divided though. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, and electric oven. The living area has a sofa and a Smart TV. You can step straight out from there onto the decking.

The decking is fully enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. We take two pets. There's a table and chairs out there. The park has over a hundred acres with a fishing lake you can use if you have a rod license. There are lawn areas around, but they're shared.

Location wise, it's about three miles from Woolfardisworthy. They've got a decent pub and a fish & chip shop there. Hartland village is about six miles. You're right on the edge for exploring both North Devon and North Cornwall.

For beaches, you've got Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde, and Westward Ho! all within a half hour drive or so. The South West Coast Path runs through the Hartland coast, which is rugged and good for walks. The Tarka Trail starts in Bideford, about a 25-minute drive. It's a flat path on an old railway line.

Local attractions include Clovelly village, Hartland Abbey, and the Milky Way Adventure Park. Exmoor National Park is about 40 minutes drive. You can get a boat to Lundy Island from Bideford or Ilfracombe.

Facilities included are all the ones you'd expect: WiFi, bedding and towels, washing machine, that sort of thing. The decking and garden are yours to use.
