This is the Old Mill in Bradworthy, Devon. It's a detached stone cottage that used to be a mill. The stream that powered it still runs past the garden.
It sleeps seven people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, but it's a proper old building so don't expect everything to be brand new. The main staircase is original and quite steep.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. You're welcome to bring up to three dogs. There's a patio with a BBQ and you can hear the water from the stream.
It's very rural. You're down a farm track. Bradworthy village is about two miles away for a shop and a pub. The pub is a bit closer, maybe a mile and a half. For a bigger shop or a supermarket, you'd go to Holsworthy, which is about five miles.
The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Bude is popular for surfing and has a big sandy beach. It's about ten miles. Clovelly and Hartland are a bit further north and are very scenic.
If you like walking, there are public footpaths straight from the property. The Tarka Trail for cycling is about eight miles away. You can also fish in the owner's lakes on site if you bring your own gear.
For facilities, it's got what you'd need: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a woodburning stove for colder nights. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking for a couple of cars right outside.
