Maggie's Place is a converted barn next to the farmyard. It's on a working dairy farm. You'll see cows, you'll hear tractors. It's peaceful, but it's a proper farm so there's activity. The cottage is detached. You get your own garden which is enclosed, so it's fine for dogs or young children.
It sleeps three. There's one bedroom with a king size bed. The living room has a double sofa bed. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Everything is on the ground floor and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. The inside is open plan, so the kitchen, dining and living area are all one room.
There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV with an Amazon Fire Stick included. Bedding and towels are provided. WiFi is here but it can be slow, it's a rural area. Up to two dogs are welcome.
Bradworthy is the nearest village, about a five minute drive. There's a pub there that does good food. The farm shop down the road, Lizzie's Larder, does nice breakfasts and lunches and dogs are allowed in.
Holsworthy is seven miles south for supermarkets and more shops. Bideford is 14 miles north. The Cornish coast is close. Bude is about 13 miles away. Several beaches near Bude, like Summerleaze and Sandymouth, allow dogs all year. The South West Coast Path runs all along that coastline.
The Tamar Lakes are a 15 minute drive away, good for a walk around the water. The Tarka Trail is nearby for cycling or walking. Roadford Lake is also good for walks.
Further afield, you're about an hour from places like Padstow, Dartmoor, or Lundy Island if you fancied the ferry from Bideford.
