Maggie's Place

Maggie's Place is a converted barn. It's on a working dairy farm in Sutcombe. You'll see and hear the farm next door, which I like.

It sleeps three. There's one bedroom with a king size bed. There's a double sofa bed in the living area too, if you need it. One shower room. It's all on the ground floor, which is handy. The front door is wheelchair accessible.

The place is detached and you get your own garden, which is enclosed. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's parking right there.

Inside, it's open plan. Kitchen, dining, living all in one room. It's got what you need: a dishwasher, washing machine, TV with an Amazon Fire stick. Bedding and towels are included. They allow up to two dogs.

The farm shop down the road, Lizzie's Larder, is good for a breakfast. Bradworthy village is close. It's got a pub that does food.

You can get to Bude, on the Cornish coast, in about half an hour. Lots of the beaches there allow dogs, like Summerleaze and Sandymouth. Bideford is about the same drive to the north.

For walks, the Tamar Lakes are a 15 minute drive for a circuit. The Tarka Trail is good for cycling. Roadford Lake is nearby. If you want a proper coastal walk, the South West Coast Path is up at the north Cornish coast, around Bude.

A bit further out, maybe 45 minutes to an hour, you've got places like Boscastle, Tintagel, and Dartmoor.
