The Cottage
The Cottage is in Tythecott, which is near Buckland Brewer. It's semi-detached, and we're next door in the main house. You're completely separate, but we're here if you need anything.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's recently done up and well looked after. The stairs are standard cottage stairs. Fine, but mind your head at the top.
You've got a small enclosed garden to yourselves. There's also about an acre of our land you can use. Good for a dog. There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave you a bit of wood to start. The Wi-Fi works.
Buckland Brewer village is a couple of miles away. The pub there is decent. For a bigger shop, Bideford is about nine miles.
You're well placed for the coast. Peppercombe Beach is about eight miles by car. For the bigger surf beaches like Westward Ho!, Woolacombe or Croyde, you're looking at a 30 minute drive, maybe a bit more. Clovelly is close, maybe 15 minutes. It's a steep, cobbled street down to the sea. You pay to enter.
For walking, the Tarka Trail is easy to get to. It's a flat path on an old railway line. The South West Coast Path is about twelve miles away at Hartland. That's proper coastal walking.
Further afield, Exmoor National Park is to the east and Dartmoor National Park is south. Both are about an hour's drive. Lundy Island boats go from Bideford or Ilfracombe.
Things here: parking, washing machine, TV, the wood burner, the garden. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. No smoking inside.
