Beech Lodge is in Tythecott. It's a small bungalow on the edge of a working dairy farm. You've got your own enclosed garden bit out the back. The view from there is over fields, no other houses in the way.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so everything works and it's clean, but don't expect anything flash. Because it's a bungalow, there are no stairs to worry about.
The Wi-Fi is fine for checking things, but I wouldn't rely on it for heavy streaming. There's a washing machine, a cot, and bedding is included. Parking is right outside.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which helps.
There's a thatched pub in the village, about a mile and a half away. They do good food. The north Devon coast is about five miles. Westward Ho! is the main one for a big beach and surfing. Bideford is close by for shops and you can get the boat to Lundy Island from there.
If you like walking, the Tarka Trail is on an old railway line, so it's flat and good for cycling too. For a day out, RHS Garden Rosemoor is about a twenty-minute drive. The historic fishing villages like Appledore and Clovelly are within half an hour. Clovelly is all cobbles and donkeys, it's quite steep.
