Granny Bond's Farmhouse
This is Granny Bond's Farmhouse. It's on our farm in Tythecott. You're at the end of a private lane, so it's quiet. You look out over our fields and the Devon countryside.
It sleeps seven. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean. It's an old farmhouse, so the ceilings are low in places and the stairs are steep. You'll need to mind your head.
You get the garden to yourselves. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and kids. We have about 130 acres of dairy farm here, so you'll see cows.
The village pub is about a mile and a half away. It's a proper old thatched place and the food is good. The north Devon coast is about five miles. Westward Ho! has that big sandy beach for surfing. Bideford is a few miles inland. You can get boat trips from there to Lundy Island.
If you like walking, the Tarka Trail is close by. For a day out, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way adventure parks are popular with families. Garden lovers often go to RHS Rosemoor.
In the house, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. Bedding is included. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
