Four Seasons Cottage
Four Seasons Cottage is on a smallholding near Stibb Cross, in North Devon. It's a detached house that sleeps twelve. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's well-equipped and comfortable, but it's not a show home. It's a family house. The kitchen is big and it's where everyone tends to end up. There's a wood burner in the living room and a separate cinema room with a large TV.
Outside, there's a patio area with a hot tub. Between April and October, there's also an above-ground swimming pool you can use. The garden is pebbled, so it's low maintenance. You share access to about seven and a half acres of land with the other cottage here. There's a games lawn and a private lake where you can do some coarse fishing, free of charge.
We have horses on site. If you're interested, you can arrange a supervised grooming session for no extra cost, subject of course to when the owner is around. You're also welcome to collect eggs from the free-range chickens.
Location wise, you're about a 20 minute drive from some great beaches like Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, and Woolacombe. The Tarka Trail is just a few minutes away by car. It's a good, flat path for walking or cycling. There are dog-friendly pubs along it.
Great Torrington is five miles away. It's got a pannier market and some nice views over the river. Barnstaple is about 18 miles for bigger shops and a cinema.
For days out, Exmoor National Park is within easy reach. The coast path is spectacular. Ilfracombe, Lynton and Lynmouth are all good for a trip.
In terms of facilities, it's all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, parking. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. We can provide a cot, highchair and stairgate. We accept up to four pets. The owner can also accept up to three or four horses by prior arrangement, depending on space.
