Yarde Orchard is a lodge in Winswell, Devon. It's detached, so you're on your own. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms.
The layout is a bit different. There's a double bedroom on the ground floor with its own shower room and a door to the garden. Upstairs, there's a twin room and a bunk room, both with little balconies. The main living area is upstairs too, between the bedrooms. It's open plan.
Downstairs, you've got the kitchen, another bathroom, a utility cupboard with a washer and dryer, and the main entrance. There's a wood burner there for cooler days.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's comfortable and tidy, not luxurious.
The biggest feature is the location. It's right next to the Tarka Trail. If you like walking or cycling, you can step straight onto it. The owners run a café on-site. You can book cooked breakfasts or evening meals there if you don't fancy cooking.
For parking, you use the free public car park next to the property.
Torrington is about four miles away for shops. Barnstaple is 15 miles. The coast is a short drive: beaches like Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, and Woolacombe are all within about 30 minutes.
You're also not far from some good sights. Exmoor National Park is close. For coastal walks, the South West Coast Path runs right through North Devon. The historic villages of Clovelly, Lynton and Lynmouth are all in easy reach by car.
In terms of facilities, it's got most things covered: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels included, a cot, a BBQ. It's also set up for wheelchair access with level entrance, grab rails, and a seat in the shower. There's bicycle storage. No pets.
