Torqvol Cottage
This is Torqvol Cottage. It's in Berry Cross, Devon. It's one of four cottages around a courtyard.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are steep. It's open plan downstairs.
You get access to about six acres of fields and an orchard. There's a proper kids' play area with swings and a climbing frame. The owners keep some animals there, like Dartmoor ponies and sheep.
There's also an indoor heated swimming pool you can use. It's shared between the cottages.
The location is quiet, but not isolated. It's about three miles from the town of Great Torrington, which has your usual shops and pubs. The local pub for food is about two miles away.
The coast is about ten miles. You've got surfing beaches like Westward Ho! and Saunton Sands, and the calmer beach at Instow. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here.
Right by the cottages, you can pick up the Tarka Trail for walking or cycling. The RHS Garden at Rosemoor is less than two miles away if you like that sort of thing. Exmoor and Dartmoor are both within a 30 minute drive for different scenery.
For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a patio with a BBQ. We can provide a cot and highchair. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
