Pigaway Cottage
Pigaway Cottage. It's near Petrockstowe, in the middle of North Devon countryside. The views are over towards Dartmoor.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The whole place is on the ground floor, which is handy. You can wheel right in through the front door, no steps. The patio doors from the living room open onto the back garden, which is just a lawn with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the morning.
Inside it's all one open room for the kitchen, dining and sitting area. It's got a woodburner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
You can bring one dog.
It's very quiet here. The nearest shop and pub is in the village of Sheepwash, about ten minutes by car. Hatherleigh, a small market town, is about five miles away for bigger shops.
For things to do, you're right between the coast and Dartmoor. The Tarka Trail for walking and cycling starts a ten minute drive away at Meeth. Dartmoor National Park is about half an hour's drive south. The north Devon beaches like Westward Ho! and Instow are about forty minutes. Bude and its beaches are just over half an hour.
