Mole End
Mole End is on a farm estate called Libbear Barton, just outside a village called New Inn. We're on a hill, so you get good views over fields and woodland.
The cottage sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, so no big queues in the morning. It's rated 4 Star. It's cosy, but the kitchen is big and there's space for everyone to eat together.
The main thing is, you're not just getting the cottage. You're getting the run of the whole estate. There's 40 acres to walk around, with woods and a lake. You can use the big heated indoor swimming pool, which is in a separate building. There's also a sauna, a gym, and a games room. For kids, there's a soft play area and an adventure playground outside.
The stairs inside the cottage are a bit steep and narrow, typical for an old building.
It's quiet here. You'll see deer in the woods at dusk, and lots of birds. No pets allowed, sorry.
The nearest shop and pub is in the village, about two miles away. For a proper day out, the north Devon and Cornwall coasts are about 25 minutes by car. Good for surfing and big sandy beaches. Dartmoor is about the same drive the other way.
