Kingfisher Lodge is at Springfield Meadows, near Halwill Junction. It's a detached lodge, one of six on the site. You've got about 14 acres to wander around, with three fishing lakes on the property. It's quiet and you'll see a lot of wildlife, like deer and kingfishers if you're lucky.
The lodge sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was built new for the 2022 season. Everything is on one level, which makes it straightforward, and the doorways are wide enough for wheelchair access. There's a covered deck at the back with a table.
The village is about half a mile down the road. There's a shop, a post office, a fish and chip shop, and a pub that does food. Holsworthy is seven miles away for bigger supermarkets and a leisure centre.
For places to go, Roadford Reservoir is about 20 minutes by car. You can walk there or sail. The north coast at Bude and Widemouth Bay is roughly 17 miles away, which is good for surfing. Dartmoor National Park is within about a 45 minute drive.
The lodge has a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
