Primrose Lodge is a detached place out near Halwill. It’s on a site with a few other lodges, set around fishing lakes in about 14 acres. We refurbished it a few years back, so it's in good order.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There’s one bathroom and it’s all on one level. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-equipped. The deck out the front is covered, so you can sit out there even if it’s damp.
You're in the countryside, so you'll see wildlife about. Owls, deer, that sort of thing. The lakes are there if you want to fish.
The village is about half a mile down the road. There’s a shop for basics, a pub, and a fish and chip shop. For a bigger shop, Holsworthy is seven miles away.
Roadford Reservoir is about 20 minutes' drive. You can sail or walk there, and they’ve got a café. The north coast around Bude and Widemouth Bay is good for beaches and surfing, that’s about half an hour. Dartmoor is within half an hour too. Useful links for planning: Dartmoor National Park and National Trust Cornwall.
Facilities: it’s got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs.
