Rosemary Cottage
Rosemary Cottage is in Highampton. It's quiet and surrounded by fields. I live next door.
It's a bungalow, so all on one level. That means no stairs to worry about. It sleeps two. One bedroom with a double bed, and a shower room with a walk-in shower.
The main room is open plan. There's a sofa and TV, a table for eating, and a kitchen at one end. It's modern and comfortable. Outside, there's a private courtyard with seating that's just for you. There's also a shared lawn and a bit of woodland.
You can bring up to three pets. We provide bed linen and towels. There's parking right here.
The village of Hatherleigh is close. It has two pubs, a shop, and a good café. The area is called Ruby Country, good for walks. You can get onto the Tarka Trail from here for cycling.
The coast is about 45 minutes north. Bude has surfing beaches. Clovelly is a steep, cobbled village. Westward Ho! is classic seaside. For a good walk, the South West Coast Path runs along there.
Going south, Dartmoor National Park is about half an hour. You can walk on the moors and see the ponies. The village of Belstone has a pub.
If you want a day out, the Warhorse Museum is nearby. National Trust properties like Castle Drogo are within a 30 minute drive.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well-equipped and tidy. It's good for a quiet break.
