The Woodshed
The Woodshed is our place in Buckland Filleigh. It used to be the timber store for the old mill, we converted it a few years ago. It's in a clearing in the woods, so it's very quiet and private. You drive through the trees and it just appears.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms. Both have their own shower room, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything's in good order.
Downstairs is all one space: kitchen, dining table, living area. There's a wood burner. The floor's heated, which is nice in winter. There's a separate little hallway with a toilet and a dog shower, and it leads out to a small enclosed courtyard.
You've got your own little lawned area just behind the cottage. Beyond that, there's about 25 acres of our land, woods and pasture. You're welcome to walk around it. You might see deer or sheep. The owner is sometimes next door, and there's a public footpath through the woods, so the wider area isn't completely private.
Great Torrington is about seven miles away for shops. Bideford is 14 miles north, and the coast at Westward Ho! is near there. If you drive west for about 20 miles you get to Bude in Cornwall.
For walking, the Tarka Trail is close by. The coast path is obviously a bit further, but you can get to places like Clovelly or the beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde within half an hour or so. Exmoor National Park is about a 30-minute drive.
We include bedding and towels. There's WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, parking. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
