The Woodshed is near Great Torrington in Devon. It's a converted timber store, done up a few years ago. You're down a private track in the woods, so it's quiet. You get 25 acres to walk around, but the small lawn behind the building is just for you. The rest is shared land, and there's a public footpath through the trees.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both upstairs. Each has its own shower room. The stairs are made from wood from the property. They're fine, but they are open tread. Just so you know.
Downstairs is all open plan. Kitchen, dining, sitting area with a wood burner. There's underfloor heating on that level. Off the kitchen is a utility porch with a dog shower and a separate toilet. Outside there's a firepit and a pétanque court.
You can bring up to two dogs. The grounds aren't fully enclosed, but the area is very rural.
For days out, you're about 20 minutes from the coast at Westward Ho! or Instow. The Tarka Trail is close by for cycling or walking. Exmoor National Park is about half an hour's drive. The South West Coast Path is accessible from several points within a 30 minute drive, like Hartland or Clovelly.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
