Timberway is a converted barn on our farm in Sheepwash. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is fair. It's comfortable.
The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, living area and dining table all together. It's got a wood burner. We leave you some logs to get started. The floors are wood and the ceiling has the old beams. It's warm.
Outside there's a patio with a table and chairs. It looks out over our fields towards Dartmoor. You can see the edge of the moor from there. There's a barbecue you can use.
Sheepwash is quiet. There's a pub in the village, the Half Moon, which does food. For a shop, you'll need to drive to Hatherleigh or Okehampton. Both are about ten minutes away.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor here. For walking, you can drive up onto the moor in ten minutes. The Tarka Trail is close by for cycling or a flat walk. It follows the old railway line.
For a day out, Okehampton Castle is run by English Heritage. Or you can drive to the National Trust's Castle Drogo, which is about half an hour away. The coast at Westward Ho! or Bude is about forty minutes.
Facilities: there's wifi, a washing machine, parking right outside, and we can put a cot in the main bedroom if you need one. We have storage if you bring bikes. No pets, sorry.
