Pondmead
Pondmead is a thatched barn conversion on our working farm near Monkokehampton. It's detached and sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star.
It's a decent size inside, with the layout you'd expect from a barn. Beams, obviously. The living room is comfortable and has a gas wood burner. The kitchen is fine for cooking for a crowd.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has an ensuite shower. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath. There's also a shower room downstairs, which is handy.
Outside, there's a good sized garden that's fully enclosed. It gets the sun in the evening. You can park right next to the barn.
We're on a farm so you'll see animals. The lanes are quiet for walking. You can see Dartmoor from here. For a proper walk, you can drive up onto Dartmoor itself in about twenty minutes. The Tarka Trail is nearby for cycling.
The local villages are small. Iddesleigh, Hatherleigh and Winkleigh have shops and pubs. They're a short drive.
The north coast beaches like Bude, Westward Ho! and Croyde are about forty minutes by car, depending on traffic.
Included in the price: all bedding and towels, electricity, wifi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher.
