You can settle down at a pub, or find an idyllic spot to enjoy a picnic whilst taking in the spectacular scenery. Meldon Reservoir is just 8 miles away and offers fishing, water sports and lovely lakeside walks. The pretty towns of Okehampton and Tavistock are close by, and there are also many beautiful gardens including RHS Rosemoor and The Lost Gardens of Heligan within easy reach. Devon and Cornwall offer fantastic coastal walking and boast sandy beaches and hidden coves, ideal for surfing or exploring the many rock pools. Fishing, tennis, horse riding, pony trekking and an 18-hole golf course are all close by.
