Barwick is a house on the edge of Exbourne village. It's detached. There's a garden and patio, and you can see fields from the upstairs.
It sleeps twelve, which is a lot. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's included.
The main bit downstairs is one big open room with the kitchen, dining area, and sitting space all together. Upstairs there's another sitting room with a balcony. It's good if some people want to watch telly and others want a bit of quiet.
Exbourne itself is small. There's an inn that does food about 350 yards away. There's also a community shop underground, which is interesting. It sells the basics.
You're proper in the countryside here. Dartmoor is about six miles away. You can drive up and see the ponies, or just go for a walk. Dartmoor National Park has all the maps and information.
Okehampton is close, ten minutes maybe. It's got a supermarket, a castle, and a cinema. Tavistock is about twenty minutes the other way. It's a bit bigger with a pannier market.
For a day out, RHS Rosemoor is a lovely garden, maybe half an hour's drive. Meldon Reservoir is about fifteen minutes away. They do fishing and watersports there.
The coast is a proper drive, about an hour to places like Bude or Westward Ho!. It's fine for a day trip but not for popping back and forth.
Inside, it's got the stuff you need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a cot and a highchair. It says Christmas themed, which means we put up a tree and some decorations in December. You can bring up to two dogs.
The Tarka Trail for walking and cycling is nearby. More details are on the Devon Country Trails site.
